We are thrilled to invite you to ArteEast’s 22nd Anniversary Benefit, celebrating over two decades of commitment to elevating the voices of artists of Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) heritage, engaging with US and global audiences.
This year, we are proud to honor Hala Alyan (writer, poet, educator), Hamid Rahmanian + Melissa Hibbard (ArteEast co-founders; cultural activist and producer/writer (respectively), and Leeza Ahmady (curator, writer, educator).
The evening is emceed by Hind Shoufani and includes delicious mezze, drinks, and performances by The Brooklyn Nomads, Zahra Alzubaidi, and a dance party with DJ MYYUH.
Proceeds from the benefit and auction will help sustain our organization’s diverse programs, showcasing bold and groundbreaking work that connects communities through art, film, and critical dialogue, fostering a deeper understanding of the SWANA region, its people and cultures.
If you can’t join us in person, please consider supporting us with a donation. And don’t forget to spread the word! Despite challenges and funding cuts, ArteEast has sustained its steadfast dedication to its mission over two decades. Your care and generosity is what make our work possible!
